About Our Firm



Muscarella, Bochet, Edwards & D'Alessandro, P.C., traces its origin to 1934 when Morris Dobrin opened his law offices on River Road in Fair Lawn. After World War II, Michael J. Muscarella and Amos C. Saunders joined and ultimately formed a partnership with him. The firm later became known as Dobrin, Muscarella and Bochet when William C. Bochet joined the firm in 1971. Barbara Anne Edwards joined the firm in 1977, after Amos C. Saunders became a Superior Court Judge.
James P. D'Alessandro joined the firm in 1988.

The partners have over 100 years of combined legal experience.

The firm is listed in Best's Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys and is rated "AV Preeminent (Highest Possible Rating)" by Martindale-Hubbell.


The members of the firm have their own practice fields. William C. Bochet is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and is a Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. His practice is limited to civil litigation, with concentration in personal injury, professional liability and commercial litigation.

Barbara Anne Edwards is a member of the Private Panel of Trustees in the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey. Her practice is limited to bankruptcy.

James P. D'Alessandro practices in the fields of bankruptcy, workers' compensation and personal injury.
